"PfeYffer"

There is a legend: the parts of one whole, scattered throughout the world, are looking for each other until they finally meet.

Pfeyffer group is this very whole.

The word Pfeyffer can be translated from the ancient German as a pipe player, wooden wind instrument player. Playing itself is a free musicmaking, combination of timbre colors and deeply considered, elegant arrangement of the composition, research work and continuous search for something new – all these is unifying the musicians and is being a “calling card” of the group.

The group has been formed of a composition of a block-flute (recorders) and a small pipe, medieval harp and a hurdy-gurdy, crumhorns and Ukulele (stringed musical instruments). The sound pattern is being supplemented with percussion – numerous and various percussion instruments. All the above is broadening the repertoire abilities and allows the group to include the patterns of early Breton, Scottish, Arabic music into the medieval and renaissance programs.

Active concert work of the Pfeyffer group in Moscow and other cities of Russia is being regularly covered by the radio and TV channels.
